This is my Version 30 control, developed over 20+ years of tinkering, handmade by me, and lovingly finished with a matte hard-wax compound that makes it, both comfortable to work with, but won't become slick during the heat of performance.
 
This control is made from Birch plywood, dowels, and brass, with a levering shoulder assembly that will give your marionette character a tremendous amount of life--from simple breathing animation, to sighs, or the ability to change demeanor. It includes a hip-shaker pivot which lets you create sassy characters and dancers. Optional heel string locations for ballet dancers or fighters. Best of all, the walking control gives you options for use, with a magnetically-detachable leg bar!
 
This control is easy to string and adjust using my Belaying Peg system, which allows you to test and alter string locations and tension for the perfect performance. There is a stiff wire hanger to quickly and easily hang a puppet on a perchery, or turn the puppet in a pirouette. It is super comfortable to use with strings laid out in a logical and easily accessible way. There is a string which can be used for a moving mouth or attachment at the 3rd eye, to look upward.
